Warning: Counterfeit UGG® Australia Products

Counterfeit Warning: the presence of counterfeit products in the market place is an unfortunate reality for many luxury brands including UGG® Australia. Though Deckers aggressively pursue removal of this product through various means, please be aware that there is counterfeit UGG® Australia product being offered to consumers, primarily through on-line websites, auction sites, such as ebay, but it may also be found on markets, boot sales and even in some shops. If you are viewing UGG® Australia product on-line anywhere other than uggaustralia.com and the domain name includes "UGG", or any variation of this word, or includes one of UGG® Australia's style names in the domain address, e.g. "Cardy", this product is most certainly counterfeit. If you do not buy UGG® Australia product from an authorised retailer listed in the UGG® Australia Dealer Locator you should assume you are buying counterfeit product. Many of the 'Fake' sites offer only PayPal as a payment method, do not have a physical address at which you can contact them and are likely to disappear at a moment's notice. If you are lucky you will get a countefeit product for your trouble and hard earned cash; if less so you may have your card details stolen and lose your money altogether. This is not a victimless crime, many of these sites are run by criminals involved in card fraud, drug smuggling and people trafficking as well as selling inferior merchandise to unsuspecting members of the public. If you have been affected by this we urge you to take the matter up with your local trading standards department, credit card company or PayPal where appropriate. It is unfortunate that Banks and credit card companies are profitting from this illegal trade and need to be made aware of every occassion when they have been involved.
